This is a wonderful feeling foundation. It spreads well, blends well, and covers slight freckles and blemishes but I chose what I believed to be the lightest color, buff, and it’s still too dark… : (
Can anyone tell me if ivory is any lighter?
I bought Ivory and I must take this up a notch from 4 stars to 5. The feel on my skin is fantastic, considering (I am naturally super oily and in all fairness I have NOT found a makeup that can deal), it sinks into my skin nicely, it covers well for me. What makes it cover well for me? I have light (sometimes ghostly where people beg me to get some sunlight) skin. Aforementioned, I have oily skin and very few wrinkles. I don’t have pockmarks although I do get acne. My acne varies between whiteheads to downright cystic acne. There’s not much you can do to cover cystic acne; they’re not selling miracle in a bottle. It does cover whiteheads to the point where they are at least your skin tone. I am an avid user of retin-A so scarring and the dark coloration goes away quickly. I do not believe that if you have significant darkening from acne that this will be the product for you. For THIS issue I would strongly suggest Bare Minerals; I believe that they are calling themselves “Bare Essentials” now. It’s that mineral makeup. Get the summer bisque concealer (if you are fair toned) and you WILL be covered. The main reason that I don’t use this mineral makeup is that I don’t require that kind of coverage and it appears to exacerbate my oily skin. The makeup itself is almost impossible to wash off (at least that was the old formula I don’t know what it is like now) so it’s a great go to makeup if you plan to sweat. Also a little moisture blends it in better. In fact, it is suggested that you spritz your face with water and blend in for a more natural look.
NOW BACK TO THIS MAKEUP…. : )
This is a fantastic makeup if you have acne but acne that doesn’t leave much scarring or dark spots. I would consider this a medium coverage makeup. Lastly, I would not recommend for dry skin especially if you are concerned about makeup that makes fine lines more noticable.

I have been using Almay make up for about seven years. Even this particular brand TLC. I always get the color naked. I ordered two bottles and when I got them they were the color of ivory even though the bottle said naked. So I had to buy another bottle of natural so I can mix it with the naked. So that I could somewhat have a natural color to my skin. It is not perfect but it does the trick for now. I am not sure why the color of the make up is different when I buy it through Amazon than when I buy it through Walmart but it definitely is so be careful.
Customer Questions & Answers
What color would work for light with pink undertone skin? i use classic ivory in cover girl. the ivory is too light. thanks
I don’t really know what color of this foundations would be the right shade for you. I use Ivory #120 and I am half American Indian in heritage and it works really well for me. I wouldn’t think it was too light for your lighter skin tone. I tried a couple of different shades before I found that the Ivory #120 worked??
Is this noncomedogenic
Ha! If in doubt, go to Google! As I earlier posted, I have never found this product to be problematic for my sensitive skin, which has had all kinds of problems with other makeup. This product has aloe vera, green tea, magnesium, potassium, lemon peel extract, red tea, tocopheryl acetate-vitamin E, hyaluranate, and ??
Has anybody found anything that works to clean this Foundation out of a makeup brush?
Answer: Use a bit of warm coconut oil (don??t get it near the base of the bristles cause it will cause shedding), then rubbing alcohol! Works like a charm
What are the active ingredients for the sunscreen?
Answer: Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide (3.3%), Zinc Oxide (2.3%).
